Debra Terrill

I’ve always loved the outdoors, from running around my neighborhood as a child making flower crowns, mud pies, and painting with crushed berries. To now, traveling and hiking around the county, sleeping in the sand under the stars and of course, continuing to make flower crowns. With my art, I discovered a way to merge the endless carousel of ideas in my imagination with the captivating beauty of mother nature so I can understand and connect on a deeper level with the beauty of the universe. Trying to capture the essence of mother nature on canvas has brought me a deeper understanding of how complex and magnificent every part of this earth is and taught me to appreciate every tiny delicate detail of a flower or effortless blankets of snow that covers the rocky mountains. My art has created a way for me to transport myself into nature regardless of where I am, and I hope that my paintings can do the same for you. Each painting is a reflection of who I am, my dreams, my goals, and my imagination. My goal is to inspire others to chase after whatever their heart desires. To encourage others to let go of their fear of making a mistake in life or on their canvas. Bob Ross once said, “When you stop being afraid of making a mistake, that's when it becomes fun.” I hope that when you see my art, you are inspired by the endless possibilities and places this world has to offer and encourages you to go out and experience life to the fullest.

It brings me so much joy to share my view of nature and my experiences with you. Thank you for supporting my art journey. Even you taking the time to read this now means the world to me. I hope you enjoy all that is to come in the next few months.
